 Abstract:  Suburban Temple was established in 1948 in Beachwood, Ohio, by former members of several large Cleveland, Ohio temples who had participated in a series of discussion groups on religious education. Emphasis was placed on Reform values and quality religious education. The collection consists of correspondence, minutes, legal and financial documents, newspaper clippings, membership lists, lesson plans, and publications.

 Abstract:  Suburban Temple was established in 1948 by leading members of the Cleveland, Ohio, area's Reform Jewish community. Rabbi Myron Silverman led the congregation from 1949 until his retirement in 1976. The collection consists of applications, brochures, bulletins, calendars, certificates, cookbooks, correspondence, directories, editorials, essays, financial records, forms, hymns, inventories, lists, management agreements, minutes, newsletters, newspaper clippings, policies, programs, reports, resolutions, resumes, scripts, sermons, songs, and worksheets.
